FIT BODY Overview Fit Body judges are looking for an athletic physique but without the level of muscle mass of the bodybuilding division.
Athletes wear two-piece figure suits; thongs or T-back bottoms are not allowed. The suit may be embellished with rhinestones, sparkles, or sequins for added effect. High-heeled shoes are required. Jewelry and body piercing is all
owed but must not be offensive or obscure the physique.
FIT BODY Judging Criteria
Round #1 – SymmetryCompetitors will perform the mandatory quarter turns; judges will compare competitors againstothers in the same class. Judges will be looking at balance and proportion (e.g., between upper and lower body). Fit Body competitors should be symmetrically balanced; upper or lower body should not overpower the other; no one-body part should overpower the rest of the physique.Round #2 - Muscle ToneThe key is to come in conditioned and not overly muscular, too striated or hard looking. Too much overall muscle mass or appearing to be at the same physical level of a bodybuilding competitor is not Fit Body. Example: Shoulders/Arms ripped and too vascular. Some separation is required to display the different muscle groups and proper execution of the (5) Mandatory poses is essential. Both rounds will be scored equally to come up with the final placement.

CLASSIC OverviewClassic Physique emphasizes symmetry and presentation, specifically the artistry of posing. Athletes will be split into height classes, depending on the number of competitors, as evenly and competitively as possible. Athletes shall wear black classic posing trunks up to 4.5" on the side. Bodybuilding trunks are not allowed.
CLASSIC Judging CriteriaRound #1 –
SYMMETRY• 50% Score
• Consists of the same four mandatory symmetry round relaxed poses as the bodybuilding
division (listed below).
• Symmetry encompasses the overall balance and harmony of the physique on all sides and in all
muscle groups. Athletes should have broad shoulders, pleasing lines, and a small tapered waist.
• The lower body will match the upper body completing a perfect X frame. Having an exemplary
muscle group in some cases can make a Bodybuilder stand out, however, Classic Physique
competitors must have all muscle groups in proportion.
Round #2 –
MUSCULATURE & PRESENTATION• 50% Score
• Consists of the Five mandatory Classic Physique muscularity round poses (listed below).
• Much like the Bodybuilding Category, athletes will be judged on the size, separation, and
leanness of their musculature.
• While the leanness standard is not lower in Classic Physique, leanness at the expense of fullness
or where dieting leads to a loss of symmetry will hurt Classic competitors’ scores.
Excessive condition, hardness, or vascularity that harms symmetry will be scored down.
• Individual presentation of the athletes “classic physique” look is a focus for judging. Smooth
quarter turns and graceful classic posing is crucial. The ability to hold poses without visible effort will positively impact scoring.
• Favorite poses should be chosen by the athlete to accentuate their symmetry & musculature. Note: NO Bodybuilding, most muscular, or Men's Physique poses are permitted in Classic.
